Learn About Patient Recording Consent
- Medical Professionals are required to inform patients that they are being recorded.
- Almost all patients provide consent when told: “In order to keep my hands, ears, and eyes focused on you (and not my laptop!), I’ll be using a service that transcribes our conversation. If you don’t want me to use it, just let me know and I’ll turn it off.”
- We’ve assembled a list of potential patient Q&As (expand bullet point to see).
-
Document the Subjective Narrative of Your Eval
-
Document the Objective and Treatment Sections of Your Note
- Dictating while examining and treating patients expedites your visits. Call out objective metrics (e.g. “Left Hip ER 45”) or treatments (e.g. “Therapeutic Exercise Clamshells”) while working with the patient.
- We’ve assembled a list of tips/tricks from our power users (expand bullet point to view).
- If you don’t want to dictate during the visit, you can summarize objective and treatment notes after that visit.
- Talk naturally - you don’t need to dictate punctuation or structure your dictation by section.
-
Document the Assessment, Goals, and Plan
- Providers can dictate the Assessment, Goals, and Plan sections or have the AI generate content based on the findings in the Subjective & Objective sections of the note.
- Tapt Health is trained to build an assessment that justifies skilled intervention, however it is the provider’s obligation to review this content before signing a note.
